Chihuahua Saves Toddler from Rattlesnake

You can mark this story down on your list of unlikely tales from unlikely heroes. Last weekend, a rattlesnake was slithering up to a 1 year old toddler at her grandparents’ birdbath in Colorado. Just as the snake lunged at the baby, the grandparents’ little chihuahua, Zoey, jumped in front of the baby to take the bite.

Zoey was taken to the closest animal hospital and at first her outlook didn’t look positive. However, after an emergency operation, Zoey is now better than ever.

Does it get anymore heartwarming than that?
